    You could ring your local council and ask them to cancel the cheque if it's issued, you'll have to call them eventually to tell them you've dropped out.

    yes but am i entitled to get paid for the months i was in college?

    It's something you'll have to discuss with them while you have them on the phone :) I would say yes myself, people could have gone into debt while in college awaiting the grant and need that grant money to get out of it.
