Getting The Mickey Pierced?

Was contemplating the idea of getting the old prince albert done? Has anyone gotten it done? If so, did it hurt much. I don't mind pain one bit...but not when it begins to interfere with work and your daily life etc. How quick is the healing process?

Also, apart from lookin' slick, who reckons there's any benefits for your partner? And what's the deal with piercings and protection?

Let's get the info out there! :pac:

Which, if it happened, could mean that it would have to be amputated.

    Hmmm...

Apparently, when you pee with a PA, it goes everywhere. Full on sprinkler action.

Also, nobody will give you head because the titanium will chip their teeth.

It will increase the chances of a condom breaking. It will increase the chances of transmitting and contracting STIs.

I don't have one (of either...) but my understanding is that depending on the gauge of the ring or bar one can learn to hold it to one side and pee standing up just fine.

Also, I'd say one's teeth are more a threat to the genitals than the jewellery is to the teeth...

    So does anal sex....

That doesn't get around the problem that you still have a half centimetre chunk of metal stuck in your peehole.

Chipped teeth from oral sex with pierced genitals is pretty common.

    The increased risks are compounded.

i don't know how many men get up to a 5mm piece of jewellery to be honest. but yeah, I'd imagine at that size you'd have to sit to pee, an unimaginable horror.

if you are worried about chipped teeth, it's tongues and lip piercings you'd want to watch. once a pa is healed, you could easily take it out for sex - to be fair some partners may find it uncomfortable anyway.

and I know the risks are compounded - my point was that these things are calculated risks

The thinner the jewelry, the increased likelihood of tearing there is. If ever I got it done, I'd go no smaller than 5mm, especially with a ring.

fair enough. can 5mm be done initially without pre-stretching the urethra with sounds or something?

    Yup.

its just that I have never seen a 5mm needle. I don't doubt they exist somewhere - but at 5mm are we talking scalpeling? surely a 3.2mm initial piercing is plenty safe from a tearing point of view and pas tend to stretch pretty quickly if you want to go up...

I mean, I know you can pierce and stretch immeadiately - I had my lobe done at 4mm and stetched directly to 8mm. It was not pleasant and I would not care to repeat it particularly on my genitals.

Actually, I think you're right that they don't pierce with a 5mm needle, more than likely a smaller one then stretch up straight away. It's just that any PAs I've heard done have always been on the bigger side; 3.2mm to me seems kinda small and I'd be worried about it for the ol' todger :)

At any rate, I'm not an expert on mods by any stretch of the word!

I think 2.4 or 3.2 is the standard, followed by slow stretching. I don't recall hearing anyone get an immeadiate stretch. perhaps it happens, but I wouldn't say it was the norm

go to the tattos and piercing forum, where the comments may be less frightening. I have one in 12 years, no issues. Healing is fast, over time you can increase gauge quite easily.
