Working in Poland for an Irish Company - Tax?

My husband is working in Poland for an Irish company. All his duties are carried out in Poland and he does not work in Ireland at all but his wages are paid from Ireland to his Irish bank account. Where does he stand with tax? Should he ask his employer to apply for a PAYE Exclusion Order and if so how does this work and does he then need to pay taxes in Poland? Thanks for any help.

    Hi

The whole thing centres around whether your husband is domiciled in Ireland. Where was he born?

    Kind Regards

It centres around his contract of employment and his residency status.

If his contract of employment is in Ireland he is liable to Irish tax as the duties are deemed to be carried out in Ireland regardless of physical performance.

I presume if the wages are being paid in Ireland then Irish tax is paid on them.

He may have Polish tax liabilities also but most employers will pay this on secondment and operate a shadow payroll in my experience.

The first person to ask is his employer tbh.
