    Hi,

It's my first year teaching TY French and I was wondering if anyone has any ideas what to do? The other teachers have told me to revise grammer and let them watch DVDs, but I'd like to do something a bit more interesting. The main problem is I have a small group (12 max) and their overall level is quite weak...anyone got any suggestions? Merci!

Arrange a Skype call with a French school where they speak in English and yours in French?
Organise a 'French day' with cooking/foods etc.?
Make your own French newsletter about school events?

Here's a few things we did.

Our teacher let us watch three films. La Vie en Rose, Les Choristes et Marie Antoinette(sp?)
Then we used one of them and wrote about it for our french oral for our document.

Is there anyone there going to do LC french?

You can do general topics with them...
    Mainly.
Moi-Meme... Ma Famille.. Mes Copains... Mon meilleur ami... maybe une journee typique? etc..

    Just basic prep for LC.

But also, you could do some french-style things...
Like if you have board games..
Teach them the basic phrases for Guess Who, Bingo.

    Ok. Out of ideas xD
