UK Freeview HD Set top boxes and Saorview. Which boxes have compatability issues ?

Sorry if this topic has been posted before but, I've seen the Humax Freeview HD T2 STB for sale at £143. Was thinking of buying one. I assume this will receive Saorview (and the NI Saorview Lite) without any problems ? Do any of the UK Freeview HD boxes have any problems with Saorview ?

Sorry if this topic has been posted before but, I've seen the Humax Freeview HD T2 STB for sale at £143. Was thinking of buying one. I assume this will receive Saorview (and the NI Saorview Lite) without any problems ?

Do any of the UK Freeview HD boxes have any problems with Saorview ?

The Humax HD T2 works. People in SE using it for Saorview and HD from Wales.

Some versions of a Tesco Freeview HD box (not Vestel but Chinese version) alleged to have some epg issue I think (Peder on IOM had some issues I think ?) ...

Other users have had no problem, with Tesco box. They may have more than one source with same own brand technika model.

It works, but before you buy look at humax direct and superfi, you will be pleasantly surprised.
ie do a google, 99 quid at humax direct

Humax Direct wont deliver to an address here - but will deliver to NI.

I have the Technika STBHDIS2010 Freeview HD box from Tesco. Sound & Vision OK on both Saorview & Freeview but has many of the problem that Lawhec mentions here

Hmmm.

I've checked the Humax Direct website and it's £169.95 including a 160GB external hard drive. I don't think I've seen it anywere at £99. The cheapest has been Currys at £143.

Still not £99.

Dunno where that figure came from.

It looks a good box though, well made and far more substantial than Tesco's one, which is on sale for £70 at the Abbey Centre.
