    got it working
    1. For "Incoming Server Settings" set the IMAP server to "imap.mail.yahoo.com" and the Port to 143
    2. For "Outgoing Server Settings" set the SMTP Server to "smtp.mail.yahoo.com" and the Port to 587

    Cheers Chris! I had my handset replaced and was having the same problem getting yahoo set up again. This worked a treat. Thanks again.

    Tried re-setting up my Yahoo mail account last night. Not working using all types of inputs for incoming settings.

    Any chance of someone posting their settings in full. The mad thing it was working up until last night until I accidentally deleted it.

    Tried using the following for Incoming (haven't got as far as outgoing yet):
    Port: 143
    Server: imap.n.mail.yahoo.com and imap.mail.yahoo.com

    May be a conspiracy but be careful on the off chance that Yahoo have reset this so that no new set ups can be created

    *UPDATE*
    Finally got it working. My account was deactivated for some resaon.

    I'm having similar trouble with ovi.mail. "cannot safely connect to server" keeps coming up.
    Ovi is yahoo now, nokia have abandoned ovi AFAIK

    edit;
    Tried looking at the settings and it was all ok till I selected continue. it says (not trusted server certificate)
