nevermind oil or gas, they are both going up in price all the time...

a multi fuel stove is a better option with or without a back boiler

have a stove but it isnt a boiler stove dont know if a boiler stove would work for us i posted a thread about it here

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056140501

but havent had any responses ,just trying to see what would be the best option, keep the oil and maybe try and put in a boiler stove(still dont know if this is practical) and maybe upgrade the oiler boiler to a condensing model or if it would be better change over to lpg?

regarding installing a back boiler stove into an existing heating system, this is possible, a friend of mine got this done for a 4 bed house and he is saving a fortune.. it was an expensive installation...very good stove and expensive fireplace...

he runs the central heating till the rads are nice and hot and then switches it off letting the stove keeping the rads nice and hot...

but how would this work with the stats and motorised valves?

that is what a plumber would know....most fireplace shops that sell stoves would have a good r.g.i./plumber, to do that kind of work
