    Hello!

my wife and myself (both 33) are looking for a holiday in the Thailand/Cambodia/Vietnam region....we plan to go for a couple of weeks and ideally we would like to mix a beach holiday with some exploring, we also would prefer to book all accommodations in advance...would you have any advice/suggestion?

    Thank you :)

If you have a lot if time then consider all three countries if not focus on one maybe two.
Thailand has all that you are looking for, beaches and mountains,Vietnam also but Thailand us definitely streets ahead.
I wouldn't book all accommodation in advance, book your first 2 nights in Bangers and research accommodation when your out there as it's hit and miss a bit in parts.

Your best bet is Thailand for that mix. Vietnam and Cambodia could be hard work for a holiday. Great countries, they just require a lot of patience. If its two weeks you have, you could do the auld tried and tested route of landing in Bangkok, heading straight to Chiang Mai (getting the train is a must, either going there or coming back) and spending 4-5 days there. Then fly/train to islands. I'd recommend staying away from Samui and Phuket. You might as well go to the Canaries. Try getting to Phi Phi and staying around the side of the island away from the village. I'd recommend Phi Phi Relax Beach resort. It would be just you and about 20 others on a small stretch of beach about 100m long, with a bar, restaurant and massage parlor/bed thingy on the beach. Check here http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/Thailand/South-West-Thailand/Ko-Phi-Phi/blog-259541.html

If your willing to pay there is untold luxury in the hotels in Thailand but they are not as cheap as you might think. Way cheaper than here though for what you get. On the other side the €10-€20 a night rooms are as good as any hotel rooms here.

Do not under any circumstances book accommodation with TAT when you arrive in Thailand. They will sell you the sun, the moon and the stars.

    Enjoy!!
