FIFA 11 - connection has been lost

Hi,
i have problem to play FIFA 11 online, problem is in head to head match mode only. The problem usually comes after second half, game just stops and i get message ''connection has been lost''. I have my PS3 ip address in DMZ and i am also forwarding ports. I even turned the firewall off in the router but it didn't help. And firewall status in the game hasn't changed still in moderate mode. Does anyone know what could be the problem.

I'm assuming you're winning the match when this happens? It means your opponent is getting pissed off/doesn't want to lose and just quits by unplugging his internet/console. It's happened me a fair few times. When you log in to your FIFA11 profile online, you'll see that you've been awarded the win (3-0 default or if the score was higher it'll be that). It's very frustrating though.

in last 10 games it happened 9. and even when im loosing, so i would not say it is because they are pissed off. so i really don't know, i tried everything.

i am just getting desperate right now. I don't really play FIFA11, i am just trying to fix it for my son, FIFA 11 is only the game he plays. All i play is Call of duty - black ops and it works perfect. Even FIFA 10 works perfect online. So i really don't know.

i did play 10games now and in none of them i lost connection. Well, i believe that i solved this disconnecting issue by disabling Wan ping blocking in my router. i will keep playing and i let you know. i have to knock the wood. Thanks.

This happens to me a lot, I understand some are legitimate drops in connection but most occur late in games that I’m conformably winning.

I was getting hammered myself the other day, 4-0 at half time, I played on (and lost) and the lad sent me a message afterwards thanking me for not disconnecting, made me lol but it’s clearly indicative of the annoyance disconnects are causing people.

edit: I wasn't aware you get awarded a win, do you get performances points etc..?
all the same, I'm not interested in rankings, I just like finishing matches.

I am not sure if you get the same message ''connection has been lost'' as someone quit the game. I think there is different message when someone quit. But as i posted earlier after i switched off WAN ping blocking, i didn't loose any connection, i did play about 30matches and i finished all of them without any problems. I will keep tying and let you know.

log on into your router and usually it is located in firewall section.
let me know if that helped.

ea's last update for fifa11 around mid december contained corrupt files and has fecked up alot of peoples online games. i havent been able to play online at all since then. keep an eye on the ea forums
