Late deals still available in summer, or book now?

    Hi,
    The bf and I are hoping to go to Greece in the summer, to Zakynthos or Corfu, and I'm finding the package prices at the moment a bit high (€500+ for very basic accomodation). For the last few years we've done DIY holidays to Spain/Canaries so we haven't really kept an eye on last minute deals during the summer, but I've heard that there are not so many good deals around in the last coulple of years.

    It looks like a package deal is the easiest option because charter flights alone are almost as expensive as the full package. I looked into booking with a UK company and getting a Ryanair flight over, but thats not really working out much cheaper (we'd be willing to do it if there was a big price difference, but at the moment there's not).

    Just wondering if there's likely to be some good deals around closer to the time? The only time we can go is July. Any opinions much appreciated. Thanks.

    Usually coming up to the hols the offers come out.
    If you're not fussy about where you are going then you could wait for a last minute deal.
