I must say it looks like a nice find all right.

It needs a proper set of alloys on it but the spec on it. Is it the 1.9 you're interested in?

I do quite a bit of mileage so I was interested in the diesel alright. They're supposed to be reilable enough aren't they and it seems to have a full service history. What's wrong with the alloys?

Not a bad looking motor. Good price considering its leather too.

Anything to look out for when I go to view it?

The alloys are fine, nice "easy to clean" five spokers. There's an obsession out there to cram as many inches of alloy wheel into Golf arches as will fit.
Personally, I think the price is too high but I'd say there's plenty of room for negotiation on this one.

Have to say I really like those alloys :)

Price is far too high! Remember its 5 years old. From looking around it seams that all the TDI golfs are over priced.

Timing belts on Golfs are to be done in and around 80,000 miles afaik.

Asking €11k is madness for a 06 Golf no matter what the spec.

No! I've just had a quick scan tru the service book on mine and all it says is replace the belt every 120k and the tensioning pulley at 240k. No mention of every 4 years or 6 years etc. I reckon I'd get it done anyway if I bought a 4-5 year old car.
