How old is your laptop and it's battery?
Sounds like the battery is dead or on it's way out

Ya.Batterys dead. I took mine out and just leave it plugged in when Im using it. It gets very hot though. Ive been told I can get a fan to cool it down?

I understand not everyone can stay plugged in. My silly!

Do you use the for the 5 min it stays on. Must laptops power off after 5 min if nothing is done when on battery power.

You can change these settings in control panel. Under power options.

If you do use the laptop for those 5 min and it still powers off then your battery is fecked.

and are you watching the charge during the 5 minutes? Does drop dramatically or does it just for example cut off when it hits 80% or something?
