has anyone's IBS lead on their 5er been murdered by the thaw after the snow?

mine's was and i got it replaced and was charged 240 euro by an independent mechanic, i have the box with the part number and i want know was i ripped of? how much do the new sealed IBS leads cost? how long does it take to put it in? looks like 20 mins to me. whats worse is it brought up a load of air bag errors and he didn't even reset those, iv'e left the guts of 3 grand with him this year to keep the car on the road and have asked him to order swirl flap blanks, gearbox and diff oil, all to be changed this week.

If i find out he is a robbing bastard he will soon hear about it.

are their any 5er owners out there that have had the same problems?

    how much where you charged?

I've heard of a few going alright and based on google, the costs seem about right.
    I'm glad I stayed with the E39!

dam right, god dam needless electronics. the e39 also has its electrical gremlins, the hedgehog resistor comes to mind, when that fails it turns on the fans in the middle of the night flatning the battery.
