A Beiber-centric episode?, another "themed" ep.? - flips sake, i understand in principle why they wanna do this, he'll be Tweeting like mad and his 6.5 million tweens will tune in for sure, but on the whole this is a douchebag move.

    :(

    Dreading this!
I can already imagine Finn doing "Baby, baby, baby oh..."
Even imagining it makes me cringe! I think I may have to sit this one out :(

Ah please let this be a rumour... Half thinking of not watching anymore, it's becoming really sh**e!

I hope this isn't really happening. It would just be horrific. Cannot stand Bieber. As in, I don't think I'd be able to watch an episode featuring his songs. Speaking of which, how many songs has he even released? I think he only has an album's worth out, they'll have to use all of them to fill the show.

    Oh dear god, no.

I'm giving up with the show so it can do whatever it wants now.

Why would the Glee club sing his songs  - I hope it is not true either

At least the Madonna/Britney Spears/Lady Gaga themed episodes made sense in a way

    According to this: http://www.deadline.com/2011/01/glee-plans-bieber-centric-boy-band-episode/

    Murphy is telling porkies:

C'mon, who doesn't think that Glee has become so crassly commercial that next thing it would do is start a boy band. Well, that's about to become a reality in a big way with an episode featuring songs of that tween heartthrob Justin Bieber. This episode is supposed to air a few days into the Paramount release of Bieber's 3D biopic Never Say Never. Despite some contradictory statements from Ryan Murphy yesterday, I've learned from insiders that the episode tentatively scheduled for February 15th will feature a storyline about this season's new character, transfer student Sam Evans (Chord Overstreet) deciding to start a boy band, and he'll sing 3 Bieber songs on the show. (I've watched maybe 5 minutes of Glee so I've never seen this kid Chord. But he also sports a Bieber-like sideswept-bangs hairstyle.) Hey, this is primetime so there could be last-minute changes in the episode now filming but this has been the plan. And consider this yet another of my shameless plugs for Bieber's Internet/Twitter traffic.

    http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/ustv/s57/glee/news/a297658/glee-agron-teases-quinn-sam-future.html

Glee star Dianna Agron has hinted that Quinn and Sam will face obstacles in their relationship.
Speaking to TV Line, Agron confirmed reports that Sam (Chord Overstreet) will sing Quinn a Justin Bieber track to impress her.
She teased: "But does it? That's the question... The episode stirs up some problems with them."
Agron also joked that she likes Sam's attempts to win Quinn over, saying: "I liken him to a golden retriever puppy. He is sweet, he can be a little dopey - in a lovable way - and sometimes his thoughts aren't fully cooked."
Glee returns for new episodes in the US on February 6 on Fox. The second season continues on Mondays at 9pm on E4 in the UK.

I kinda love Glee coz it's cheezy and dopey and they put weird songs together. Then again super cheese may induce some sort of lactose coma.

That and Brittany & Sue's one liners alone!!!

Richard, could you please use the spoilers thread for things like this? I'm sure I'm not the only one that wants potential or confirmed angles for episodes telegraphed in thread titles that are essentially unavoidable.

So going behind someone's back is preferable to mentioning an issue and politely asking that person to reconsider something?
