    Hi All,

We have a 2nd sky box that we are not using and I am wondering how can I use this to pick up the free channels. Can I connect this up to the satellite and how can I do this?

    Thanks.

You can indeed use an old sky box to pick up the free channels.

In order to do this you will need a Quad LNB(4 outputs) to be installed on your dish, if you already have a sky+ or sky hd box then you should already have one in place.

You simply need to run a cable directly from the quad to the room you would like the box to be installed in. If you are unfamiliar or afraid of working at heights I would recommend using a local installer to do the work for you.

    Thanks Steveon,

I have 2 Sky+ box and the height shouldnt be a problem but I still might get someone to have a look at it for me! What kind of cable would I need for the connection?

If you have 2 sky+ boxes then the 4 outputs from the quad will be used up. You will need an octo to install your old skybox. Check for spare outputs on your LNB.
