I have been studying buddhism for a few years but Recently I have moved to Cavan and I was wondering If their any Buddhist study programmes or weekly
meditation classes around the area. Have heard of the Buddhist Centre Jampa Ling but from the website they dont seem to have any weekly meditation classes. Am open to trying different forms of Buddhism but general like the Tibetean branch of teachings.
    Thanks in advance

There is a centre called Jampa Ling near Ballyconnell: http://www.jampaling.org/about.html where a very highly regarded lama resides for part of the year.

Hi. I've visited Jampa Ling, but it was many years ago, like 1996!!! It is a great place to visit and see other ways of formulating a Buddhist practice. For me it added to the mix. I have to say though, that I didn't really invest too much in it. Lovely people there, though. Especially Marjorie Cross, a genuine lady. I met with Rinpoche and he set me straight on a few things (much needed then, and now)! My best advice is to go and experience it yourself and take from it what is useful. Peace, out!
