Now sound on Irish DTV except RTÉ News Now

As above, got a Samsung TV, digital working great, but since about Xmas, (Not exactly sure when, no sound from the DTV Stations except RTÉ News Now.

Any ideas?

Depends on the model of the TV - It's usually detailed in the user manual .

What is the TV model and what country do you have selected in the profile, UK or Ireland ?

delete channels first then do a rescan that should doit

Audio and RTÉ News Now OK.

Everything else no sound.

Try under tools / audio language and check if set to 1.English and not set to 2.AD PreMIx.

I set newly acquired Samsung (which I am soooooooo impressed with ) to 2.AD PreMIx in error last night and spent ages figuring it out.

Sorry to butt in, I did the same myself any idea how to delete all channels or save the changes in audio from a.d. premix to english

first u need go reset factory then press auto start tuning for all channel and it will work all sound have u have same channel like 001 rte 1 010 rte 1 maybe from limerick give u affect no sound i has to detele from other channel

In the sound options select English instead of AD Premix. Don't change it in Tools options as this will reset back to AD premix when you change channel.

I tried both options of changing the audio but cant save it as soon as I change channel its gone again

In the menu list you should select sound. Then select audio language. Set that as English. This shouldn't change when turning tv on/off. When changing under tools menu it keeps resetting to A.D.Premix. You should notice that the sound will show as stereo instead of the mono.

Sounds like you're not doing a "save" or "confirm" after changing the setting. I don't have the Samsung, but it's most odd if you can't make the change stick.

there is no save option at least none I can find, I thought I had it by using the menu, sound, and changing from ad premix to english, then exiting out all the way back to tv, when I changed channel it worked for 2 channels but then didnt, i thought I had it but I think the channels I changed to where the temp rte which works and the rolling news which also works, I nearly exploded
samsung only have premium rate phone numbers for help, I would send them an email except on the drop down menu on their support page it doesn't list my tv

Page 17 - ensure the audio language is set to ENG. Ensure the AD (Audio Description) is OFF. Page 18 - ensure the sound mode is not set to DUAL. Page 19 - ensure your primary audio language preferences are set to ENG.

Other than that pm me - I live in Greystones and can try my best to see if I can set up your settings so that they default to ENG properly
