Remove av cable from Sony XR155E Handycam

Just got this new camera and all going well until I connected it to the tv today, played perfect until I tried to remove the a/v r cable from the camera. Can anybody help? It feels like it needs a button to release it but cannot get it. I don't want to break it as it's only new
