    It's called Profile Valet.

haven't used it yet but if these guys have anything to say about it, seems pretty kool ;)
Other apps can do similar things (like Locale and Tasker), but cost money or are mind numbingly complicated to use. Profile Valet keeps it simple, hell, it pretty much holds your hand when you set up a new profile. Do you want to set a location-based or schedule-based profile? What settings do you want to change in this profile? Bada bing, bada boom it's set. I've always loved the idea of setting these sort of location-based profiles but was always too lazy to learn how to set them up. I don't have an excuse anymore with Profile Valet.

Not exactly an alternative, its only useful for time or location based events.

It doesn't do stuff based on an action/app i.e. turning on gps when Maps is opened or turning on bluetooth when plugged in

Thanks Kenno90, this is exactly what iv been looking for, the others are just too complicated to use.

Iv silent mode set up 9am - 6pm during work and wifi to switch on automatically in the evenings when I'm home.

    Cheers,
    CC
