    Don't know if theres another thread but i'm looking for recommendations for lessons in Dublin. Been playing for about a year now and think its time i got a couple of lessons to iron out a few issues with my game.

    If you are in the Tallaght area try Raymie Burns in South County or Karl O'Donnell in Newlands.

    best to say where you're based in Dublin and what your local club is or closest club & driving range is, then you'll get better recommendations that'll suit you better!

    Based in Tallaght. Booked a lesson with Dave Lavelle in the Spawell for tomorrow evening. I'll give it a go and see how i get on. Few people have mentioned Raymie Burns to me though so don't know whether i should cancel. Anyone know much about Dave??

    Has anyone had lessons from John Langan out at Leopardstown Driving Range and did you find him helpful. Heard good reports

    Is he from Castlebar?
    If its the guy I'm thinking about I played with him in a Pro Am years ago. He was very poor. Shot 10 over or something like that.
    Dead sound lad though I thought. Was giving us a few tips on the way around.

    I don't want to hijack this thread but I noticed Karl O'Donnell's name.

    I played with Karl when he was at Clandeboye (Co.Down). I can't vouch for his ability as a coach but I must pop down and say hello.

    What is he like as a teacher?

    Just thought i'd update this. Had a lesson with David Lavelle in the Spawell last night. Probably the best €30 i've spent in a long long time. In 15 mins, with a few small adjustments to my grip and stance, he had me hitting shots, straight as an arrow with clubs i was afraid to use beforehand. Went back down the range today, and using his advice, i had the best session i've ever had down there. Definite recommendation from me. Can't wait to get out now on Saturday and see can i reproduce these shots on the course.
