    Hi everyone

Getting married in cork and just wondering if anyone has suggestions of any good bands and dj's and what the total costs would be. I've heard that the vendetta are good and some other but just wondering if anyone out there knows any:)

I am getting married also, so any tips I see here would be great.

Here is a list of bands either in Cork or who will travel to Cork.

The Dynamics are very good depending on your taste. Black Tye gave us an excellent quote to travel to Cork for reception music, drinks reception, DJ and church music. They are excellent musicians. Someone I know used Frankly Sinatra and were impressed by him, although he does cater to specific tastes. (Ratpack stuff)

Avalon are supposed to quite good although I haven't seen them in action.

Have a look at these sites for bands in Cork. You may pay extra booking through these companies though.

Some of them do band/dj packages.

Also, these guys are good for something a bit different.

got married last may in cork,we had looked at getting the laughing shamrocks but they were booked for the date of the wedding, the cousin had the marvels at hers so they got ruled out, they were pretty good and lively kept plenty people dancing,so to make a long story short we had bog the donkey which were good, good mix of songs and kept people dancing and had dj with them as well,pm if you are looking for price of them ,there is also miss jones which is basically bog the donkey with a female singer ,we checked each bands website and then went to hear them playing at a wedding, gives a good feel for what they are about, good luck with search

Sweet Nectar played my sister's wedding - they were really good - played long into the night and had the whole crowd on the floor
