I have 45 acres and am in sucklers part time.
This AEOS scheme is meant to be re-opening this year, is it worth my while going to the effort to get in? Are any of you out there in it yet?
    Any advice would be appreciated.

i went into it lastyear.had being in reps up to then,so was glad there was at least sumthing to replace that income.i have chose the traditional hay meadows and speisies rich grassland and abit of hedge planting.lucky 4me i,m not over stocked and can afford 2farm abit more extenive.that iknow may not suit many tightly stocked and land restricted.

Entered it this year and def. think it's worth it. Altho as previous poster has said my farm isn't as intensive as it used to be as the oul fella is retired and I don't have the time to farm it so it suits. Did a bit of hedging, orchard, broadleaf trees, bird cover and hay meadow to makle sure I got into the scheme but it turned out I could have just done one measure as the 10,000 entry limit was never attained.

Expected 20% payment before Christmas but no sign yet. Gona give dept. a call tomorrow

I got a letter stating I was accepted, last year. Except they magiced up some extra land I hadn't declared - according to them - and I wouldn't be paid until that was cleared up.

No map. No reference as to where it is. No clues whatsoever.

And they won't give us any more info...

So, no, I've not been paid.

I know another man who also was accepted last year and also hasn't been paid - we have the same planner.

have you all your dockets in ??? fencing trees or whatever money you spent on the scheme...talking to my planner on friday last he says we wont get paid for the last 3 months of last year unless we get the expense dockets in and submitted but as far as i know nobody paid yet they working on a new computer payment system typical excuse to hold up the money for a while me thinks.........
