So, we booked tickets to NYC for late March and cannot wait! Anyone know where to book cheap tickets to a Broadway show like Spiderman or would we be better booking it when we are over there? Any advice would be appreciated...

Not sure about Spiderman as it is new and receiving quite a bit of publicity. I would doubt you would get cheap tickets to it. If you wanted to see an older show, you can buy discounted tickets on the day at the tkts booth in Times Square (or there is a less busy outlet at the Seaport right at the bottom of Manhattan) keep an eye on their site to see what is discounted each day. That will give you an idea what shows you can expect to be discounted when you are there.

If you don't fancy leaving it til the day, you could try this website

apparently (I don't know if this is true) if you print out the offer on this website and bring it to the theatre's box office, they will honour the price :)
