    Hi all,

I have a bit of money to spare and have decided my make up bag is in dire need of an update.

I have my perfect foundation but need some advice re concealer & powder. I've heard good things of Bobbi Brown concealer but this is mostly from people with more sallow skin than myself. I'm quite pale, I'm sure they do different shades but don't know too much bout them? Help!

I've been using Benefit Get Even but think its time for a change. Also what would people recommend for a nice blusher/bronzer?

I'd recommend Nars for blusher and bronzer. Very high quality and lovely shades. You can get it in BT.

The Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick is cool also, it's sort of a blush, highlighter and bronzer in one!

For a powder I just got Mac mineralised skin finish natural and I really like it, I've even worn it as my foundation when I'm having very good skin days.

I recently bought the Mac Mineralize Skin finish in the lightest shade; it's probably the best powder I've come across, for me anyway. I hate looking powdery or chalky; and I had never found a powder prior to this Mac one that didn't give that effect.

I use Bobbi Brown concealer (the creamy one). It's not a product I use everyday, but it *is* pretty amazing when tired- completely eradicates shadows. I'm really pale by the way (lightest shade available in foundation pale!)

Ooooh, I miss my Bobbi Brown shimmer brick :( Left it at a "friend's" house and never saw it again. :(:(

Definitely agree with unepetite, the Mac Mineralize SkinFinish Natural is the nicest powder I've used.

I use the bobbi brown concealer and I'm really pale, I use it in porcelain which is the lightest shade as far as I'm aware. It is quite a thick consistency but works well. <3 shimmerbrick as well.

Once again the mac mineralize finish powder. I use the medium when im going out obviously its slightly darker. Always lasts all night and i have oily skin and gives a great matte finish.

Another vote for Mac's MSF! I use the lighest colour when I'm pale and the medium dark if I have tan on.

Agree about the MAC mineralise - it gives a lovely finish, not cakey or 'powdery' at all

mac studio sculpt concelar is very good, thick consistency and comes in pale shades. A very good inexpensive version would be maybeline mousse concelar also in light shades

I'm a fan of the mousse concealer, hides anything!

The lightest BB shade is Alabaster, Porcelain is the shade up!

I know because I was too pale for Porcelain :o

I'm a dior-aholic and i use the nude foundation because its good coverage but very light feeling on the skin and long lasting. Usually i have trouble getting a concealor to last. BB didn't do it for me, would look lovely when i was leaving the house but seems to disappear 30 mins later! :(

The last time i went in for my usual though instead of powder i tried a different thing call skin perfector, its a matte appearance and goes on clear over your make up. It holds it in place and does the same thing as powder without looking like powder. Keeps my make up in place for ages too so maybe if you're near a counter try it out
