Is there any diffrence in burning ? if not I can save lots of money buying yellow one. Thank You :)

its different they are not the same home heating oil is usually cheaper than kerosene, kerosene is a cleaner fuel supposed to be more efficent older boilers usually run on heating oil and i have seen larger installs running on it as well

kerosene has a red dye added in the south, and no dye added in the north.

a domestic oil burner will run on 28sec kerosene, no matter what colour it is.

it is LEGAL to bring quantities less than 100 litres across the border as long as it is for your own use

yes but its not kerosene he would be getting it would be heating oil (diesel) so unless he wants to change over hes system to heating oil its not much good to him,if he can get kerosene at 73 cent/l then all well and good

28sec kerosene is what is supposed to be used in a normal domestic setup. it is the standard that the domestic oil burners have been designed to burn.

35sec gas oil is what is supposed to be used in a commercial setup. it burns a bit slower because it has a lube added to it.

these are the only 2 burning oils commercially available anymore.
the only other variant available is parrafin oil which has the sulpher removed so as it can be used indoors in heaters and lamps, very hard to get in large quantities
