I'm looking for an app that will only allow my phone to access the internet when it is connected to wifi.

Got charged 23 euro from meteor the other day, they said when my wifi drops it still connects off my credit. I have checked my settings but nothing there.

    Its an lg optimus gt540.

    Thanks

You could just disable your mobile internet in your settings and only turn it on when you need it.
alternatly use something like tasker or locale but that might be overkill.

Don't know with your specific phone. But on mine (Vopdafone V485) it is 2 separate options to allow Wi-fi access, and allowing Data Service (through network).
If I turn off Data Service as I understand it my phone can only connect to any internet services when WiFi is available (assuming I have WiFi on).
I'm sure if you google it your not the first person with this issue...

23 EUROS! meteor afaik only charge 69 cent for the first 50mb on any day on PAYG. You could use 3g watchdog to monitor your usage or as suggested before turn off Data service.
If you are on bill pay you could ask for an internet bundle add on.

Google says Settings / Wireless & networks / Mobile networks / Data enabled (uncheck it to disable 3G/GPRS/EDGE)

Or try APNdroid you get a widget on your homescreen to enable/disable

I second APNdroid - huge fan, use it all the time. I have a tiny 3g data allowance and never use it all and I would put a lot of that down to using APNdroid.

I'm fairly sure if you go into Wireless & Network settings it says, mobile network "enabled" change that to "always ask", I've a GT540 but I'm fuzzy on that because I changed it.
