I have a ps2 & a dozen or so games to give away to charity. Does anyone know who would like them? I know St Vinnies don't take electrical equipment these days. It is in good condition. Any ideas? Thanks

The Casa shop on Capel Street certainly sells electronics and I've seen plenty of PS One games there over the years.

Mrs Quinn or Sue Ryder shops will take them.

    Or I can :P

Great thing your doing there man! I for one would try sell it on adverts though and just give the charity of your choice the cash that you get from the sale. They would appreciate the cash much more as they might have to store the ps2 for an age before it will shift while it will go pretty fast on adverts.

If you decide to use adverts make sure you mention its for charity and link to this post for proof so people will bid more generously on the console and not low ball you.

You can't 'bid' on adverts, and charity shops will deffo sell them. Not a problem.

Heck, if you tell me where the shop is, i'll go there and buy them myself

Well I dunno about the bidding thing as you can bid as low as you want but if someone bids a higher price they will get it :) unless the asking price is reached, a reserve if you would?

I still think its a better idea to use adverts as you would probably get more cash to donate and if you give it too a charity shop as they would nearly certainly under value it and also it will be in the stock room for awhile before it will see the shop floor.

Thanks all. I was thinking a hospital or a hospice or something like a shelter. I might look into selling them & giving the cash.

Sometimes they wont take electronics in case they are a bit damaged and could cause a fire. Im sure some one would give you a few quid for it and you could donate it if they wont.
