Saw these in Atlantic Homecare Blanchardstown Centre last night at a bargain price of 5 for €5. Considering I had 2 very similar bulbs in my hand @€5 each, I was happy that I spotted the bargain ones at the checkout before i parted with my money. Great price considering some shops have these for 6.50 each

I've spotted a few retailers also selling the 75w eequivalent bulbs also, 5 for €5.

Cheaper in Woodies if their sale is still on, extra 20% off - 80 cents each.

Their 20% off finished on the 3rd, I got a load of these bulbs on that date and was told it was the last day!

Do they have anything other than the standard sized connection? Am looking for the "Small Edison Screw" (E14) type.

Not that I have seen only the standard BC- Bayonet caps at 8/11W

Anybody know any supermarkets up north that sell these cheap? saw them 3 for 30p in a poundshop one day but they were all gone :-(

I got energy saving light bulbs in craigavon portadown a year ago for 8p each. Think they are around 50p now. Look at www.asda.com or www.tesco.com and search for light bulbs. I fitted out my house for 1 pound and still going!

I paid €4.50 the other day for a 40w philips one from tesco and it's about the best G9 bulb i've used yet, I usually just buy the cheapest but imo it's worth the extra money for a good one.

Got some in Woodies at the 20% of deal, making them 80c each.

I think they brighten up quick enough. Have them in bathrooms mostly where I like to do some reading so it is important to have a decent light.

A marketing slogan perhaps for the Philips genie

Is surely what you need
