O.k, Ive got a 2002 Nissan Primera 1.8 Acenta petrol for sale. Its got 70 odd kmiles on the clock. N.C.T til 05/2012 and taxed til 05/11. Its difficult to put a price on it as the same models on donedeal and Carzone are so varied. Dealers looking for 3 grand and more for them, private as low as 1500

Price it the same or slighly cheaper then the cheapest if you want to sell it.

It will have to be priced cheap as I'm afraid Primeras are not very sought after, a 1.8 litre model even less so.

I'd say if it well kept then you'll get a quick sale at €1500. Remember the dealers will have added upto €1000 profit and bargaining money into that €3000.

I was looking for a 00 onwards family car with my brother in law recently... some real crap at €1000 - but quite a few nice motors at €1500.

It's a nice motor, and I'm not ina major rush to sell as I've still got 5 months tax on it, but if the right price comes in I'll let it go. What would you say of putting it up for 2000 and let folk bargain me on it?

It's definately worth a try, if you get no calls then you know it is too steep. I'd advertise it at €1,995 though as it looks alot cheaper than €2k. The 5 months tax will also be an added bonus and should make it more attractive to a potential buyer as they will not have to fork out more money for tax immediately after buying the car.
