What do you reckon costs of walking into empty take away unit? Aside from obvious rent, wages, advertising, what other costs should I factor in?

Is it possible to rent kitchen equipment, rather than buy outright? Are there hidden costs I might not think of off hand? Also in an area of approx population of 10k and if we leaflet all homes in first month what would be expected income (very vague I know but interested in any estimates) I;m working on a 12euro spend per customer!! Thanks

There are a number of costs you should consider such as:
Initial fitout & stock, rental deposit, rent, council rates, water rates, wages, advertising, phone line costs, electricity costs, Insurance premium etc. Some people also forget about your returns to the VAT man it may be a small amount but every penny counts for a start up business. You could try your local enterprise board if you are taking on some staff the might or might not help. Best of look whatever you choose.
