Revlon eyeshadows worth buying?

    Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has used the Revlon colorstay eyeshadows? I've used the colorstay foundation and love it, even though it was a bit expensive for Boots. I've read some reviews that say the pigmentation isn't that good. Tbh I've been using a smashbox trio that I love but its pigmentation isn't spectacular even with their primer under. So would you recommend Revlon eyeshadow or is there another 'Boots' type brand that would be better.

    Thanks a mill :)

Some of the ELF shadows are good and they are very cheap - Moondust from Custom Eyes, Socialite and Elegant from Mineral are what I got and all are well pigmented. I did get the 100 Eyes palette free though and about 75% of that is crap. I also read some reviews and checked swatches so I only ordered what people said was good :)

the 17 shadows used not to be too bad for pigmentation but it's years since I bought them

Bourjois little round pots also supposed to be good.

I know that the makeup artist Ellie Balfe really rates the matte Revlon shadows on her blog (cant think of link sorry!)

I had the same problem with smashbox before - was v. disappointed!!

If you like shimmery the Loreal shadows are really good and No & does some decent neutrals that are not as shimmery.

Beaut.ie has also rated the 17 eyeshadows before.

I used to find the Bourgeois ones crap but I know they have reformulated them recently and they are meant to be improved.

Isa Dora quads are quite good I think, especially cause they seems to sell them in so many chemists. Use the testers, and see if you like them. They're not the most pigments but so blendable and easy to work with. I really like them.

I just got an Inglot pallet also and thought it was great, the prices start at 12e for 2, so comparable to most boots brands. They're in Liffey valley and Dundrum, really good for blending and strong colours.

Also I have this sleek pallet which is awesome, http://www.sleekmakeup.com/en/products/original-i-divine-palette-218.aspx
They dont really blend well, but they are so strong and pigmented, nice if you want block colour. The effect on the eye is more like a Mac pigment then your regular shimmer eyeshadow, probably cause it's a mineral eyeshadow.

Yeah I agree. The bright coloured ones are very good, have a bright pink, jade green and several others like that
