I've seen a job in my local paper I'd like to apply for. The company in question is not too far from where i live and my question is would it be better to drop the cv off in person or send it to address on ad??

might seem silly but the way things are i don't want to put any potential jobs at risk over something silly.

personally id hand it in myself, ask for the manager and make sure he/she gets it, it just shows you have made an effort. :pac:

    +1

Dress well, be relaxed and confident, talk to the manager if you can, try an ensure he has time, try asking a Q open the conversation up if poss, make sure you know a little bout the company.

PS, IF THE MANAGER'S BUSY, DONT HASSLE HIM/HER. JUST GIVE AND GO

Dress smart and hand it in in person. In this climate, most job listings are bound to get lots of applicants. Could be good to do something simple like that to stand out from the crowd.

    That's what i was thinking.

would the CV on its own be enough and a quick chat with manager?? any need for cover letter in this case? i wouldn't think there is??

always cover. makes it personal, differentiates you from others, acts as a reminder even if you do get to chat. so yes, cover's a must.
