I want to put a single gear chainset onto my bike. With a tensioner. Using it for DH til my budget is better.. What size is my BB and what chainset would you recommend.

There's a thread called "Need a new bottom bracket", its probably back a page or so. That should tell you every thing you need to know about BB's and cranks. I'm on the phone so I can't get you the link, but it shouldn't be hard to find.;)

EDIT: Why don't you just remove the extra chainrings and add a tensioner?
