    Guys/Gals

I have never been into making tie knots but have attempted to do a few windsor ones a while ago, are these even right.?!

also which one goes best with the shirt..!?

    cheers.:o

It's difficult to describe the Windsor knot in words. There's several good instructional videos on youtube though, it's how I learned :o

It does look like you're bunching up the tie underneath the visible part though. The left tie looks like you forgot to do the second loop through.
The only advice I can give though other than practicing is to keep everything symmetrical.

What I do is after I've done the two loops (before the wrap-around part if you get me) is tug down on the tie gently so the two loops tighten and become the same size. Again it's hard to describe in writing but this should help at the end and will hopefully prevent the bunching you see in your examples.

Edit: Here's one I threw together a few days ago. I wouldn't say it's perfect but it would be an improvement :)

As for the tie, the far right one is the obvious option as it compliments the shirt colour nicely.

The other two, the middle one more so imo, could also go well but it depends on what the rest of the outfit is.

first tie on the left, pull it a little tighter. that's the nicest knot, the other two just look a little to like scumbag on a day out in court.

tie on left doesn't go with the shirt though.

hehe, i used the same method for all of them..

the one on the left is more narrow, hence the tighter smoother knot.

this is my collection of shirts, what tie and what shirt... i need to get a knot soon...

Here's a good link on how to tie a half windsor its probably the easiest one to get right(worked in menswear during college and a very lazy ex so i got a lot of practise lol) or try the four in hand make sure when you start off that the skinny end is quite short, maybe at your breast bone, otherwise when you pull it you'll end up with a tail-not a good look!

The tie on the left is awful! Don't ever use it-throw it away!
If your wearing dark trousers then wear the middle one but make a neater smaller knot, go for the one on the right if your wearing light trousers.

PS: don't wear the stripy shirt with the striped jacket, it just looks looks wrong!!

jee, I was wearing that tie all along..!

I got dark pants ,same as the jacket.

so the plain shirt and the middle tie so, I will try that link and post up later :)

    cheers!!

this is the 4 in hand, dont like it as its too bulky..? not much more i can do, the other tie is more compact as its narrow.
