waste veg oil

    Hi does any one know who would take waste veg oil, i have it in 1000L tanks, is it worth anything

    With those sort of quantities, it sounds like you're involved in a professional food business..?

    If so, there are food waste regulations in place that must be followed

    I'd recommend you have a look here:

    As I understand it, cooking oil is included in the definition of food waste.

    while it is food waste, and their is legislation as pointed out by Macha...

    there are companies who take it away, I have been out of the food service industry for over 15 years, by there was a few crowds who would pay for waster oil andm provide certs for it to show it is following food waste directives...

    Ring your local chip shop and ask them... they have to get rid of their oil all the time

    Good point, yes there are companies that will take it off you - for a price I assume..

    Only to somebody who is involved in bio diesel production from waste veg oil. However in monetary terms it is usually just a case of they take it off your hands for very little if not FOC.
    Not too many people filtering/processing but I'm sure with the current climate more people are looking into it so I don't reckon you're going to have a bidding war any time soon.
