Apologies if this has been posted here before but I had been looking for this film some time ago but gave up and now I find someone has uploaded the full version to YouTube. Regarded by many as one of the great cycling films of all time it recounts the story of the 1976 edition of Paris-Roubaix. Fabulous viewing!

Some of those old films are real classics. Check out the 'stars and watercarriers' series here - http://bikehabit.blogspot.com/search/label/video%20inspiration‏.
One could become addicted to old films of Merckx - nothing at all like him on the scene now.

These are both Jorgen Leth films, together with "Den Umulige Time" (The Impossible Hour." The last is about Ole Ritter's attempt to break the hour record in an outdoor velodrome in Mexico.
I was gifted the Leth's sportfilms boxset this Christmas - if anyone wants a lend to watch on the big screen I'd be happy to lend 'em out (collection Dub North / City Centre). All the DVDs have subtitles and are excellent :)

Here's a link to 'Stars and Watercarriers' mentioned above. Same director as 'A Sunday in Hell' this time focusing on the 1973 Giro. Don't know who wins this one....Can't wait.
