Rang Meteor this evening to see if they could better my plan as I compared to 3 and 3 are offering a much better deal which would save me 25euro a month.

The cs rep informed me that I am under contract since I upgraded in October!!! I wasn't aware that I was re-entering into contract. I had upgraded before and I remember asking then if I was re-entering into contract and was told no. I can't remember whether or not I asked this time but my attention was certainly NOT drawn to it. What do I do?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not being smart, but you would of signed a new contract, did you not read it?

Point to note also, an upgrade is always a new contract, no network just hands a customer a phone with no catch

    Thanks Max,

I don't recall signing a contract. Yeah, you're right. It seems too good to be true that I just got a phone for nothing. I just thought it was because I was a good customer and they didn't want to lose me - bit stupid. I assumed because I had actually been told the last time I upgraded that I wasn't entering into contract that I wouldn't this time either.

Did you buy online or over the phone? You may not have physically signed a contract in that case.

No network is that loyal that they'd just hand you a new phone without any conditions attached.
