I'm 31. I have 6+ years of no claims on motorbikes. I presume I've to do another test to get a car license. Will my extensive experience of safety on Irish roads on motorbikes go out the window? Or is there any insurance company that would honour this?

    1/. Yep. New test.

2/. Maybe but you'd have to ask them individually probably. I think it should btw, but opinion and reality are often different.

No claims on a motorbike normally isn't considered by car insurance companies. If you're already insured by someone who also covers cars they might allow it to be used but most won't.

unlikely, from bitter experience neither is transferable to the other, and also be careful regarding letting your cover lapse on the motorcycles as you may have to have a continuous period of cover to retain your no claims.

I bet if you were to get points on car or bike, they would go straight to the other though

Yes you need a Theory test/ Learner's Permit for a cage.

No, you won't be able to transfer your NCB but maybe you're insurance company will give you a discount if you have your bike and cage insurance with them on seperate policies.
