Hi I new to the Android scene so please forgive my innocence, I bought a HTC Wildfire and I can only access the Net through wifi. There was an option on my old phone where I held down the "0" button on the keypad and it brought me to a list of bookmarks where I could choose Twitter, Gmail, etc but I cant seem to findout how to do it on the HTC Wildfire. Again sorry if its looking me in the face, but im a bit lost

I set up my friend's Wildfire a few weeks ago after he couldn't connect through the mobile network.

Just go to Settings>Wireless & networks>Mobile network, turn that on, and don't bother messing around with another settings. That worked for me.

I went to Meteor yesterday and terrible service "Looks like the antenna is damaged" to "Oh your running 2.2 firmware, 3G wont work on that you have to get it put back to 2.1" WTF. So rang HTC (Local number) couldnt be more helpful got it sorted in 5 mins. Up and running :D:D

The phone i got was sim free so it had no settings on it, and at the time I didnt understand where to go about getting the settings. I did try the setting that were on the link in my first post, but still didnt get it going. HTC got me to Access Point Names and to make a new new APN and then from there put the setting in and to put the APN Type to "Default"
