    Hi folks the story is:
-I got an old Dell laptop and in the market for a new one,
-I like to carry out regular clean reinstalls of a dual Ubuntu - XP - shared partition fairly often to keep my computer speedy!
-On request Dell sent me out a copy of XP and drivers which I've been using on this old laptop (they done this up to recently anyway...).
-I rang them to ask if they would still do this if I bought a new laptop and they didn't really give a clear answer,
-so does anyone have experience or know if they are still doing this (willing to give a copy of your OS and your computers drivers) for a new laptop with Windows 7!

Thanks for that, just in case anyone is interested I since found out that you can get your windows 7 cd and drivers for a nominal fee from dell! so rock on Ubuntu dual boot! (I know that last bit sounds really geeky!)
