Where to get 2nd hand door lock.

    Hey guys, I am in need of 2nd hand locking mechanism for the rear passenger (drivers side) door of a Mk4 golf.

    Anyone know where I can find one? Only a few days ago I was looking at a website that had a comprehensive listing of all spares available, think it was a place up North, can't remember what it was called though?

    Also, any idea how much it will cost? A local garage said it would be around €170 new?

    You could try Traynors - Scrapyard NI - they deliver.

    Also try Kilcock Dismantlers . Should be circa 50 - 70 bills

    Both in google.

    Nice one, Traynors is the one I was looking at alright.

    I assume the locking mechanism is the same across all MK4 models, so long as they're a 5 door?

    There will be a change depending on year. So make sure its a match to that shape.

    Traynors don't have one, have to give Kilcock a call back.

    Found this on eBay. Looks like it's what I need...

    Ended up getting one from Summerhill Spares, €55 and it'll be couriered over to me tomorrow! Happy days. :D
