Burned Out

    Hey

Was just wondering has anyone got any advice on how to deal with burnout. I will just explain my situation.

Went back to college to do a taught masters. Had been doing great in it in the first semester. The course is fairly intense I've about 17-18 subjects to do in it but all going well in the exams I should be getting a first.

However since the exams finished my mind has just shut down. For the last 3 weeks I can barely find the motivation to go downstairs in my house let alone throw myself back into this whole college thing on Monday. Mentally I just am not there at the moment. The definition of Burnout seems closest to what I am feeling at the minute. However college starts back on Monday so its something I have to tackle head on

Has anyone got any advice on how to deal with it?

    Thanks

Honestly, if you are tired, don't fight it. If you're in UCD then you're going to have a break at Easter, so I would recommend about two hours of study per day before easter, then maybe three.

What is crucial is to have periods of light exercise regularly and to have time off with friends to just take off and have fun.

I have been exercising slightly (Play Indoor a few times a week and walk roughly 3 miles every day to and from college, I also make time during the days in college to spend time with friends (meet up for tea/coffee etc)

Yet its still feels like this

The college counselling service is free. Why not give that a try.
