Confirmed this new password and then when i went to enter it...it said wrong password!! my phone is now disabled (well for 5 minutes anyways) but i'm almost positive that the password i but in is the one i chose!! what can I do? who can help? do i need to bring it back to the store?

Hold down the sleep button and the home button for 20-30 seconds then a yellow hazard triangle should appear connect it to your Computer and restore it.

    Should Work.

thanks so much...i don't have too much data to lose...apart from the 2-3 hours spent manually putting in phone numbers (they couldn't transfer them in the Vodafone shop for me!)
Going to do that now!! Feel like a prize idiot!! Thanks for your help...feel a lot less panicky now!!!

For the contacts if your old phone can be connected to the PC maybe you can import them to Outlook and after sync them to your Iphone.

Thats not too bad. When I got my iPhone first I was on dial up and it took me 6.5 hrs to download iTunes and then 14 hours to download what was needed for the iPhone. After 13.5 hours of the second download my comp froze and I had to start again.
