Does anybody know if it is safe to give diazepam to a 4 and a half year old? It has been prescribed by a local G.P.

I presume it was prescribed for that child and nobody else ? If so then I'm sure it would be safe but obviously take care to give the correct dosage for a child that small.

Ask the pharmacist when you are getting the prescription. Any idiot can post drivel on boards.
