    Hi,

I just purchased a new ford kuga 4x4 commercial.Im thinking of getting a spare set of 17" alloys and winter tyres or else maybe just winter tyres next winter. The tyres that came on it are 235/55/17.Should i stick to the same x/x/x size or can i get 235/65/17 as these seem cheaper ?

a size difference like that would barely be noticeable, they should be fine

65% profile will be 47mm taller in total. That's 1.8".

According to http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html your speedometer will read 6.8% slow.

Can't copy/paste results from that page....
