    hey lads.

not sure if this the correct area . any how

i had to reset my pc back to factory settings, :( im looking to store all my music on my external hard drive.

i have just installed itunes again & have yet to add music...

Is there a way where i can have itunes read the external hard drive so i dont have to fill up my laptop.

    Thanks

    Edit > Preferences > Advanced.

Change the Media Folder location and uncheck the box to copy when importing.

    If you're on a mac -

Go into itunes, preferences, and go to the advanced tab. Then uncheck the 'copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library'.

On a PC it should be something similar - edit -> preferences -> advanced.
