Edision Argus Mini - factory reset?

I've loaded a new firmware (and bootloader) on my Edision Argus mini and it now seems to be sort-a dead :eek:

It boots, shows the "booting" logo... but then it shows a blank screen.
The display (on the box itself) shows the time and "

---

" beside (to the right) of the time. It does not respond to any of the remote control buttons.

Also there is a very small "!" warning icon displayed on the box display but I've no way to check what it means....

help please

The wrong firmware ? And you have overwritten the bootloader.

What did you flash it with. And what firmware had you got on it ?

Anyhow force flash territory......

You will need a null modem cable and a backup .abs firmware file (generated from backup to USB screen).

Use the file attached to apply the firmware

It was the correct firmware after all - however, I've got mine connected to a non-HD TV (over scart) and the firmware was defaulting to output over the HDMI output....

A few presses of the V-format button on the remote saved the day

I thought that I was going to miss the ManC v Arsenal game :eek:

I know this thread is a while back but hopefully you can help me out.

I decided to update firmware via ethernet.(this was my first time updating)
when I connected the cable it showed there was a latest update available to me.it was march 2013 I think.
I selected the update + all channels from a choice of 4
and it went through the motions, I could see the update bar going to 100% 2 times.
then the screen just went blank and I cannot get anything back.
I powered on\ off with switch, I unplugged power supply, I removed ethernet cable but no joy.
It just says BOOT on the LCD screen and no matter what button I press nothing happens.
can you advise on this please as I am starting to panic

I gust bought a progressiv HDC 2 worked fine for gust a day then the transmitter I think that's what you call it shows a red light for a while then when it turns green the make of the box comes up on the TV screen then the light turns red and screen goes blank it repeats this over and over

If you bought it new, bring it back to the supplier.
