Desire HD window mount

Cant find the thread but someone was looking for one of these recently for their HD.

For me they have two advantages.

1: You can use it with any phone. If you buy the next greatest phone later on this year it'll fit into it.

2: If you use a Gel case the phone will still fit into the holder. If a holder is designed for a Desire specifically then it's not necessarily designed for a Desire + Gel case.

I had one of those once, problem was you had to squeese the phone so tight to keep in the holder felt like one or the other would break.
Also, no matter how tight you did, hit a speed bump and it slips, if you care a lot about your phone its more dangerous than anything else tbh...

Also i think you misread the op, he was saying here is a link to the holder not looking for one..

So if that one is for the HD, but I only have the normal Desire with no cover, how will it fit?

Just bought one of these myself.

How sturdy do you find it, i.e. does the flex keep bending when you put the phone in/out of the holder?

The fact that it comes with a free charger is great!

It's not a flexy arm on mine. There's a knob you loosen for X and one for Y axis so once you're happy with how it's set you just tighten the knobs. This is fine for me as I always sit in the same position while driving and can't see myself ever needing to adjust its positioning.


There are two little legs at the bottom so if you're mounting it portrait the phone won't slip out.
There's a button on the side of it to release a spring so it opens out smoothly automatically. That extends a fair few inches (I think about twice the width of a Desire HD) so it'll have no problem with any phone I ever buy.

I was replying to the post directly above mine asking about something for a regular Desire.

greenfly, with the one i linked to does it rotate to landscape?

Thanks for the info, I have one similar from kensington which cost me twenty euros!

This one looks good and at a bargain price
