    Hi hows the form.

Im trying to do a question on a silo which is 6m in Diameter and 40m high. we are supposed to calculate the wind loading to eurocodes but i can only seem to find material when the building is either square or rectangular. I know i could use the diameter of the circle as the face but this will leave very much over designed. Does anyone know where i can get a wind loading example for this type of building or any circular building in general

If I was doing it I'd split the circle into a series of facets, and use the directional method specified in BS 6399 - 2 (or Eurocode).....Actually, sorry, I tell a lie - if i was ACTUALLY doing it I'd simply take 1.0kN/m sq - because we all know thats the answer!!! :-)
