Light not working, sparks came from it

In the our hall we have two lights (both with 3 bulbs per light) with two switches for either one. The problem is that one of the lights blew with sparks coming from them.

It also tripped a switch in the fuse box, so I replaced the bulbs and flicked the switch back on and now the light doesn't work. The other light in the hall works fine.

Not to be smart, but switch them off and call an electrician.
